    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Junior Shape Ski Package………..Only $110
    Junior Snowboard Package………Only $120
    Adult Shape Ski Package…………Only $140
    Adult Snowboard Package……….Only $140
    Adult Performance Ski Package…Only $180

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    It Makes Sense
    C
onsider the convenience and savings of renting your ski or snowboard equipment now, keeping it for this season and next, and returning it next spring. For a low, one time charge, you can have peace of mind; no waiting, picking up equipment or risk of the shop running out of equipment. This is your opportunity to be ready to go with equipment early next season. Seasonal rentals are appreciated by parents who don’t want to invest an arm and leg for junior equipment that the kids just grow out of in one season or less!

    How It Works
Call us or stop by the shop now, before we close on April 20, and purchase your seasonal rentals at the discounted rates listed above. Next fall come into the shop (we will remind you!), and we will fit you up, adjust your bindings, and provide you with clean, freshly tuned equipment that is ready to ski or snowboard for the rest of the season! You may come in, anytime during the season, and exchange your equipment for different sizes, different brands, or different styles from our seasonal inventory at no additional charge.

Ideal for Growing and Improving Kids

Many parents realize that buying new equipment every year becomes overwhelming when a child is constantly growing; physically and in ability. It is often impossible, and costly, to keep up. Crystal Ski Shop has an inventory of hundreds of skis, boots and poles for kids of all sizes and abilities. After 32 years of seasonal rentals, we have created a program that offers the highest quality equipment, with the most options for parents and kids. Here’s how it works: Come in with your child and we will fit him or her with equipment that fits, has been safety tested, and is fully tuned and ready to ski! Over the course of the ski season, you can come in anytime to trade sizes, lengths and styles of equipment at no additional charge. It is common for a youngster to grow three sizes in one ski season! If you have plans for ski school or ski programs, it becomes very cost-effective and hassle free to rent for the season. Come in and we will show you the high quality equipment and service we provide!

    The Deal Gets Even Better
Seasonal customers also receive a special discount card for unlimited discounts on: 20% off daily rentals of skis, snowboards, snowshoes, etc., 20% off ski repair and tunes and 10% off all merchandise. These discounts can be enjoyed by the renter and family members.

    This Week’s Sk-E Report

    By kmartinez | April 6, 2009

So much snow, so little time! Ugh… what is a powder hound to do? Well, the corn snow ain’t there right now, just some of the sweetest, deepest, dreamiest snow you could imagine. Don’t be fooled by the weather outside your door, the skiing and riding is still AWESOME and well worth one, or two more trips back up there this season. Don’t miss out! Pay close attention to the ski area closing dates listed below. When its gone, its gone.
This is a quick summary status of several local areas based on numbers received yesterday:

Arapahoe Basin (60″ base. Last 72 hrs: 11″ new)

Breckenridge (81-96″ base. Last 72 hrs: 12″ new)

Copper Mountain (76-96″ base. Last 72 hrs: 8″ new)

Eldora (56″ base. Last 72 hrs: 18″ new. WOW! )

Keystone (64-66″ base. Last 72 hrs: 10″ new)

Loveland (86″ base. Last 72 hrs: 13″ new)

Vail (73-84″ base. Last 72 hrs: 20″ new. WOW! )

Winter Park (85-96″ base. Last 72 hrs: 15″ new)

While we don’t like to face reality, it is true that most ski areas, regardless of the fantastic snow conditions, will soon be shutting down for the season. Because of leases with the Forest Service, these dates typically do not change, despite fantastic snow conditions. These are the most recently published closing dates of most ski resorts. However, go to your favortite resort’s website to get the latest and greatest info, just in case they have the ability to extend their seasons.

This Year’s Demo Rentals Now For Sale

    By kmartinez | March 11, 2009

We have finally succumbed to the requests: for the first time, we are selling our rental demos for ridiculously low prices!

Because these are considered “used” rentals (only a few ski days, if any on these babies) the manufacturers have given us permission to advertise and sell these skis at the manufacturer’s wholesale prices. The retailers are not allowed to do this!

These 2008-09 models are the best intermediate to advanced “All Mountain” skis that Rossignol and Salomon offer. We picked them for our demo rental inventory because of the very positive reviews and versatility that they have. You can now call them your own, get some nice spring skiing days on them this season, and ski them with joy for years to come. Included in your purchase is a free binding adjustment to your boots and ASTM release test. We will also make sure the bases and edges are tuned up and ready to go.

We have limited inventory and sizes so hurry in!

These are the skis and sizes that are for sale:

Maker/ Ski Model       Binding              Sizes (cm)

    MSRP            Our Sale Price

    $1000                $590

    $1000              $590

     $1000              $590

     Women’s Specific:

    $1000              $590

    $700               $390

    Powder is falling at Eldora

    By admin | January 24, 2009

Talk about a PERFECT day to ski at Eldora! I dropped off my boys for their Trek Lessons, and I strapped on a pair of skis and headed to Corona Bowl. There is 5-6″ of fresh powder and it is still falling. Sunday should be AWESOME for riding and sliding. (BTW the chili bread bowl is awesome in the Indian Peaks Lodge).
